Solent Mobile Locksmiths attended a job today in Lee On Solent in which the customer couldn’t get out of her house.

The customer had a Yale PBS3 security night latch which had failed, the mechanism inside had shattered. Therefore when she was pulling the lever the latch wouldn’t retract. 

The key would still open the door from the outside but this is not convenient for anybody to go out the back door to come in through the front.

We replaced the night latch for the customer who was happy that she could leave the house through the front door.

Yale PBS3 nightlatches are BS (British Standard) Kitemarked nightlatches which automatically deadlock once the door is closed, this stops anybody sliding the latch back offering great security.
